Very big NPC normie accounts who tentatively became lukewarm "anti-woke" when it became safe(r) to do so are now parroting neo diversity drivel in the same way the legacy media used to repeat false narratives. "High skilled" is the new "diversity is our strength".
Youarethemedia has come full circle, except now transformation was very quick and is morphing into more of the same in real time. All of it is very good: first of all, it's still a better conversation than a struggle with completely batshit insane demons preying on children.
Secondly, it's all happening quickly: the meme wars have shown that the ponderous establishment can never react quickly enough. Modularity of the new media means the narrative is likely to be more porous too: you can influence a page admin much easier than a media corp.
Thirdly, its' great that it happened so early! More room to debate and make noise. I actually think Musk could've defused a lot of consternation by spelling out what he meant by skilled migration: after the Ohio horrorshow, everyone is understandably strained and abuses of the existing skilled worker schemes are well documented.
Saying who, how and why can and will get in, with assurances of revision and update of the existing legal framework would've prevented the whole shitstorm.
Advocating for uncapping of a flawed scheme means more of the same bad, which isn't digestible to the general public because if high-skill immigration system is so blatantly abused, there's 0 trust in the administration to deliver on its promises on tackling less subtle form of invasion. Though all in all, we're up for an eventful year. With the people politically active and having tasted power and influence, I think Trump/Musk movement has uncapped forces they will not be able to contend with. Lots of good is due for America in 2025, but the biggest shift are likely to come in the election cycle. Just like Trump was a collective reaction to destruction of the United States, if the sentiments aren't met, the future leader of the rfee world is likely to be a very interesting man indeed!

Still, the free world, by which I mean actual people not a collection of bureaucratic institutions, has received a breather. With X/Twitter being an outlet for mostly unfiltered narrative, the old big media remains a powerful behemoth, but has been hurt most grievously.
X/Twitter is now reasonably free and and reasonably open, and, compared to the stranglehold of Reddit, spam-swamped mess of 4chan demonstrated that a collection of free, small voices have an enormous advantage over established power structures. Despite on its own being messy and chaotic, as people simply screaming out their thoughts into the void tend to be, the force multiplier was the truth. What was going on wasn’t alright, and even a lot of non-lunatic left (they exist but are a dying breed) weren’t comfortable with some of the extremes of the pushed envelope.
The breather should not be taken for granted - all of it isn’t entrenched in any system or set of rules and is merely the expression of will of a single man. The moment the goodwill is exhausted by set of inconveniences, the policies can be reversed at the snap of the fingers. Which is why it is very important to react fast and take full advantage of the opportunity provided by the thawing of the ice of censorship.
We are witnessing the birth of neo-woke, this time carried not by danger hair lunatics, but by technocratic autists who consider themselves too enlightened to see colour. The neo-woke in its childish naivete (or pompous ignorance masquerading as enlightment) is in a way reminiscent of the post WW2 German administration, who were easily persuaded to take on “temporary” guests workers, called gastarbeiters to make up for losses in population (something that didn’t even occur to depleted populations after the WW1, mind) and who, like any Middle-Eastern couch surfer never actually left.
It is true that past certain level of wealth, self-awareness and competence a lot of surface-level distinctions go away. This is especially true among ultra high net worth individual where kinship is closer connected to the mutual challenges the wider poor can never understand, but also top level professionals. For those who worked in international high-performance teams, this feeling is similar: after work drinks are generally filled with asinine lite-left drivel but by and large there is a mutual understanding of us professionals vs them ordinary people. But beyond it all, there is the sense of shared kinship, history and the irreplaceable comfort of being among your own people. By and large, the ultimate delineation is blood, though the difference between the whites and the others is the white population is largely oblivious of it. Those who are, however, are generally fringe cases who present the sentiment in an unpalatable and bizarre way not digestible to the average man.
Skills, technical expertise and even cultural traits can be adopted, facilitated with money, nurtured and grown. People are irreplaceable. Reformative crises and polarization are good. With the pronoun culture on its last legs, the sleek neowokies who were as exhausted of dealing with crazy people as everyone else are now racing to undermine their host country. All of it is a very transparent attempt to justify their presence and in a way is a very unintelligent take: loyalty to the country that gave you home and respect for its people would get them entrenched, admired and respected faster than more surely than snarky dunks.
“They value their people more than diversity” is the new “diversity is our strength”. With the new labels, the ultimate meaning remains unchanged, but it would seem that the only thing that truly bothered them was hard-left lunacy stifling businesses.
It is fantastic that these issues are coming to the fore before of inauguration and while the situation is developing, it seems both Trump and Vance aren’t receptive to the Silicon Valley’s creative ideas.
With the average person coming to terms their voice can matter, the retreat of both the left and the lowest-bidder culture can be turned into a rout.
Just like frustration with leftwoke tyranny led to emergence of Donalnd Trump, continued aggravation of red-blooded Americans will lead to rise of new leaders: savvier, leaner, and even less charitable to sellouts.
Everyone has decided where they are long ago: masks aren’t off because they were never quite on, but now the allegiances are vocalised.
The nativist tensions aren’t new: citizens of German and Italian descent had it very rough in the 1800s. Time went by and the divisions became insignificant, with admixtures in the modern day regarded with interest and curiosity. The balance was restored somewhere on the lets-get-along side and virtually no-one pays much attention to finer European distinctions today. Back then, there were very few non Caucasians to make up a meaningful part of the equation. The differences between more distant races are much more pronounced, however and a diverse harmonious collective is not something that can be attained as practice shows.
With the average man awake and angry, the nativists will win and the neo woke will be crushed and collapse even faster than its predecessor, the DEI.
That will happen for the same reason the Dems lost: they were wrong and the other side who rejected it was right. Truth is a great disinfectant and a great power multiplier. With the added benefit of cohesion prompted by vitriolic, resentful remarks of those who should be thankful instead of subversive, we’re likely to see spectacular developments come 2025.
